WSI Lake Tahoe LiDAR Data Supports Ground-breaking Findings with USGS Research

A recent research article published by USGS revealed ground-breaking findings based on WSI's high resolution Lake Tahoe LiDAR data set. "This study is yet one more stunning example of how the availability of LiDAR information to precisely and accurately map the shape of the solid Earth surface beneath vegetation is revolutionizing the geosciences," said USGS Director Marcia McNutt. WSI is recognized for high resolution LiDAR data collection and has significant experience mapping geological hazards throughout the U.S. Similar studies have included the New Madrid Fault in the Central U.S., seismic studies near NAS Fallon in Nevada, faults along the Central California coastal region and Oregon's infamous "Pits of Mystery".
