WSI has an outstanding track record of providing highly accurate spatial data to clients who manage coastal emergency preparedness and response, flood control levee systems, waterway diversions, reservoirs, and hydroelectric facilities. We are known for designing projects with LiDAR settings for high resolution acquisition (≥ 8 pulses per square meter) that exceed USGS LiDAR and FEMA Flood Hazard Mapping specifications. Subsequently, it has been our experience that high resolution LiDAR data consistently capture important landscape elements such as terrain breaks, floodplain terraces and active and historic-channels with an accuracy and definition that is not possible with lower resolution data. High resolution LiDAR data results in a highly defined, accurate, and reliable ground model.
